| racole + nicholas | real wedding - the addison, boca raton

happy day friends. I wanted to stop by and drop  off a few pics from Racole and Nick's gorgeous  December wedding.

words cannot  express what a blessing  it was to have these two as clients.  when Racole reached out to me, she had recently been proposed to, and had made initial plans to do most of the wedding planning herself. but she decided about a week in, that although she loved it and was more than capable of planning her nuptials;  that she would elicit some help. and am I glad she thought  of me.  racole  remembered me as the planner of her friend's 30th birthday  fête  in South Beach, Miami, three years earlier, and "googled" me.  the name had changed, but I am still theluxeplanner...so the rest is history!

serving these two was more than a blessing  and an honor. their wedding at the Addison in Boca  Raton, was absolutely perfect. from the pre-wedding reception to the delectable dining  at lunch...each and every detail was meticulously given attention.  their theme was "It's a Wonderful Life."  the story from how the theme was chosen, to the date of the wedding was amazing! but i will let Racole tell it another time! i adored the subtle nods to the movie and the beauty of it all.  one of my favorite details were the little bells that read "every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings."  this beautiful couple were such a pleasure to work with.  i wish them a lifetime of happiness and blessings!

here are a few snippets  of the day, captured by AJ Shorter Photography, who did an amazing job, cake by Creative Cake Factory, stationery by Talia Felicia Events + Design and floral by Tropical Elegance. I hope you enjoy!

I'm no stationer...

...but when given a challenge,  I sure do give it my all. This was the first (and maybe the last) time I have designed wedding invitations.  I have great respect for stationers and graphic designers because their job is a hard one. I started designing for myself because when I first started my business I couldn't afford to hire someone,  as much as I would have liked to.

Shera and Dan knew that I was a first-timer, but trusted me anyway!  My hats off to all you amazing self-taught and academically trained graphic designers.  This had to be one of the best challenges I had to date.  They love them and quite frankly I do too. Here's a little cell phone sneaky peeky.

Have a fantastic day friends!
