giving matters

much of my philosophy and purpose is rooted in giving back to the community and helping others become who they have been called to be.  before becoming a full-time designer, I was blessed to work in secondary and post secondary settings as an educator and education project manager for over 10 years. although my day-to-day connection to formal education has commenced, I view myself as a lifelong educator.

my belief is that we are all born to be a blessing to others. not necessarily in huge ways, but each day by how we live our lives, share our stories of triumph and LOVE others.  there are many things that I am passionate about, however seeing children happy + thriving as well seeing others succeed and be their best selves are atop that list.

in addition to local community engagement through public school entrepreneurship clubs and mentorship with University of Florida students; I am  currently a Birthday Fairy at Shand's Children's Hospital at UF Health for the Confetti Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to "provide party starter kits to children who have to spend their birthday in the hospital." i also volunteer with the Pink Wish Foundation, an "organization dedicated to alleviating economic distress and self-destructive behaviors of girls ages 8-18 utilizing empowerment modules and entrepreneurship resulting in the acquisition of behaviors for success and sustainability."

i am always looking for ways to share my time, talents and energy.  if your organization thinks that we may be able to help contact us. also, if you would like to get involved with our current efforts, reach out; we'd love to get to know you!

Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.
